Funny, he loves asian cinema but what about Wong Kar Wai? It is surprising that Chunking Express isn’ named in this list.

Tarantino’s an egotistical overrated douche bag of a director. That’s a horrible list. Since 1992, those are his favorites? Seriously?
I may consider 1 of those movies on my top 20.

Exactly my thoughts, it’s good that he isn’t such an elitist. I love his taste in humor. Shaun of the Dead, Team America and Friday are great.

The list is so Tarantino =)
Battle Royale is pretty much the perfect film in my eyes.
I think The Host was a brilliant film but overrated if that makes any sense. In terms of Bong Joon Ho’s work, Memories Of Murder IMO was the much better film.
I only wish we could hear QT discuss these movies in greater depth!

Good list, really surprised he didn’t name “Oldboy.”

Many people would disagree with me, but I think he has great tastes, and very close to my own too.

love his work, his movies don’t lack substance- you have to go deeper to find it. And movies aren’t all about substance, for sheer entertainment value Kill Bill is a freaking masterpiece, and the story is not weak, it’s simple and effective. Stop whining I love Fight Club and The Host off of his list. The Host is probably the best monster movie ever.

You don’t happen to be” Furness” from the IMDB discussion boards?

I’m surprised he missed City Unplugged considering he started with Reservoir Dogs. All and all, most films on his list are legit. I would have added Death Proof- a masterpiece of his own doing. You know he wanted to say it, too. Only real buffs understand what he did with that film. The camera work in the lap dance scene alone is some of the best I’ve ever seen. nice. Battle Royale was cool, but not at all a classic.

what happened to oldboy… apparently he was killin for the movie to win the palm dor at the cannes that year

death proof you have never seen. i know that by your comment. it contained no gore, and the car was not a “killer”. and nom inglorious bastards isnt about that ONLY. thats only a fourth or fifth of the movie. they are very different movies.

Battoru Royaru is a classic
