I don'tt think the FBI has time for such things, with all the other things happening that might necessitate their attention a bit more...like killings and robberies and stuff.
But there surely are other organizations that monitor the internet for piracy. A couple of years ago they were aiming for Napster and Kazaa, today it's mostly the torrent business.
But it usually hits people that really do this for a living though, there are some that download day and night tons of Gb of data and sell DVDs and stuff. As long as you fly key-low and quiet, I doubt there's gonna be a problem.

I don't think the FBI does, but the companies providing Internet services do. A friend of mine got a letter from the cable company because he was downloading House episodes. I work at a college, and, again, it was the Internet provider that told the college that students were illegally downloading copyrighted content.

Who knows if they do, i HIGHLY doubt it though. Besides, the only parties that can even be prosecuted are those that PROVIDE the download. Thus, in a p2p like limewire, having sharing on puts you at risk of fines or arrest but downloading alone will not.

The reason Napster and some other p2p's got sued is because they host files and uploading through a central server. that's why torrents are everywhere, the trackers are all over the internet and not part of the upload/download process but just used to find other peers with the files. No central server that connects people.

Those movie/tv show websites are for high school kids though, I recommend downloading Vuze and going to www.torrentreactor.net and/or be lucky enough to find a www.demonoid.com invite.
