I am trying to remember the name of a Hollywood movie that came out recently?
It starred one of the big Hollywood actresses and was about her having some kind of sexual perversion. If I remeber right it was that she liked to be cut. It was alittle suprising at the time that a major actress took on the role. I beleive it came out in 2007 or 2008.

I can’t think of a recent movie with an A-List actress in such a role. I doubt that you’re thinking of the one with Sarah Michelle Gellar called The Return (2006)? She was "a cutter" on herself. There is an older movie called "The Secretary" (2002) and it stars Maggie Gyllenhaal–A young woman, recently released from a mental hospital, gets a job as a secretary to a demanding lawyer, where their employer-employee relationship turns into a sexual, sadomasochistic one–including cutting. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0274812/
This latter movie has been shown on HBO or one of the other cable stations in the past year or so.
