With todays home entertainment systems, many of us get movie rentals at least a few times a month. Often people wait for the rental, instead of going to the movies. Here is a short list of some of the highest volume rentals in October.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: Indiana is back in action, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones movies. In this movie Indiana is pitted against post war Soviets. The Soviets are looking for the Crystal Skulls, which are thought to have secret powers.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: One time crook Ben Garvey has turned his life completely around. With a stable home, and steady paycheck, he has found happiness. Then, he gets fired from his job, and reverts to his old life of crime. People are killed, and he will pay with his life. He is sent to die. Shockingly, he now finds himself in a mental hospital. He now fights for his sanity, and his soul.

LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is a respected boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Soon his past is about to rear it’s ugly head. He was a member of a brutal L.A. gang, that he somehow got away from. When a bad twist of fate exposes his whereabouts to his old gang, he and his family are in a dangerous situation. He is forced risk it all, and help gang leader drake bring a big drug shipment into the country.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This movie tells the tale of Military scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has been changed into a creature called the green Hulk. This feature film tells of the marvel comic hero, the Incredible Hulk. Key cast members are Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liv Tyler. Louis Leterrier directs this film. This movie would be considered a sci-fi/thriller.

DECEPTION: Accountant Jonathan McQuarry has an unusual meeting with big time corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. It is a meeting that turns his life upside down. John is exposed to “The List”, where people find a decadent sexual indulgance. Unfortunately, he is also led into a scene full of deceipt, underhandidness and death.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a mission to discover what happened to his lost brother, a science professor explores caves in Iceland that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is a newer edition of the 1959 production, which was based on the classic work by renowned author Jules Verne. Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.

THE HAPPENING: Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are all fleeing Philadelphia on a train. Philadelphia has been thrown into chaos. People have been overwhelmed by some strange illness, and are taking their own lives. Can mankind find the solution, or is this the end of man?

IRON MAN: Man of the town, arms builder, Tony Stark is captured by insurgent fighters in Afghanastan. He is ordered to build missiles for the insurgent group. He sustained injuries while he was being captured, and has metal in his chest. To survive his injuries, and break away from his enemies, he designs a suit of armor, that give him incredible strength and defense. Iron Man, a new super hero has arrived.

SPEED RACER: An anime-cartoon gets real actors. Just like the movie The Flinstones, Speed Racer turns a cartoon to a movie with an actual cast. Speed Racer is an ambitious young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a very dangerous race that his older brother had died racing in. With no one expecting him to win, and the future of the family business at risk, he suprisingly teams up with his arch rival Racer X, to attempt to take the title, so the family business won’t go under.
