Few tips on how to make people laugh!
Why do most people think that it is easy to be a funny guy? It isn’t and if you are not born with it, then God help you! In fact, if it was so easy, wouldn’t everyone earn a lot of money making people laugh day after day? But hang on. If you only want to learn a thing or two about being “funnier”, then the tips here will help you out. These are from big name comedians themselves.
Make jokes on your own expense. If you are a bald headed make joke on account of that group of people. It is something that works without any exception. Just look at Sacha Baron Cohen a.k.a. Borat. He made a carrier laughing at Jews even though that he is one. Or another excellent example is Chris Rock that made a great carrier as a standup comedian making jokes about black people. The main point is that people find that always funny and have a great time listening to such jokes.
Physical humor always works. Falling while you get on the stage or hurting yourself accidentally with something makes people laugh. Of course you need to be convincing when doing so or people won`t laugh. The perfect example is the jackass crew. They made millions by hurting themselves. However, I am not applying to do the staff they do but my intention is to make a point that people find it funny when someone hurts himself.
Surprise them with something. The bigger the surprise the more they will laugh. For an example once the narrator announces your name instead of you a donkey comes out from behind stage and stands in front of the microphone. Moment later you go out and you say “Sorry folks my double got all wrong and came instead….” This will surely make people laugh but you need to figure out how to make the donkey go and stand in front of the microphone first. If that doesn’t make people laugh you probably have some tough crowd in front of you and you will need your double soon after you get to the stage.
These are some of the being funny tips and tricks. Of course there are many more but for now, these tips will have to do. Go out and be witty!
