Well, 3rd movie is usualy where the films fail. It’s THE hardest movie to make. I really can’t say many good 3rd movies of any film series. Maybe Star Wars Return of the Jedi (yes it is 3rd movie made in the series, but canonly it is 6th), that movie was good imo.

Hmm, I really wouldn’t mind some imitator. But I guess I am not that picky, someone could imitate the performance in good way I am sure.
But I am sure other fans would mind it, so it won’t happen.

There’s no way the third movie will ever top or equal this piece of awesomeness, especially without the Joker, but I’m confident Nolan can pull off something of “Batman Begins” calibre to continue the series. He has good taste in what will feel right and what won’t.

Not to worry: director Chris Nolan has confirmed on several interviews that Harvey Dent is in fact dead in his films. Also, he’s pretty much indicated that he will not replace Heath Ledger for his films, which I think is a smart move. Nobody could top Ledger, at least not in the Nolan Batman world.
I agree it won’t be the same without the Joker, without Heath, but I believe in Chris Nolan.

I heard somewhere that Harvey Dent comes back. Apparently, he didn’t actually die, he was just knocked unconscious. I swear, if he comes back then they’ve automatically ruined the movie. And it’s just not the same without Heath Ledger :’(
