The Replacements: Stupid, by-the-numbers games comedy in reference to a lot of has-beens, eccentrics, and losers who are enlisted by tutor Hackman as substitute competitors in the wake of a pro-football strike. If you seriously desire to see Hackman play a tutor, lease the basketball tirade Hoosiers. Cast includes Keanu Reeves, Gene Hackman, Brooke Langton, Orlando Jones, Jon Favreau, Jack Warden, Faizon Love, and Brett Cullen. (118 minutes, 2000)
The Last Samurai: This is a true epic story of a lost soldier who winds up fighting a war in a far away land. Hired by the emperor of Japan to train his army, he is quickly captured by the Samurai he was training the army to defeat. Living amongst these great people he comes to believe in the way of the Samurai. He winds up fighting on their side, with all of his heart.
